Finishes and Materials

Through this course I learned about the origin of materials, as well as how materials are manipulated and produced to create products used in interior design. We also learned from industry representatives from PPG Paints, Maharam, Behr Paints, Benjamin Moore, Shaw Carpets, and Wilson Art, who shared their expertise in their respective fields. For our final project, pictured below, we sourced all of our samples directly from various companies. The knowledge I gained through this class strengthened my ability to communicate effectively with industry professionals to create designs that accurately reflect the vision of the client and the designer.
