Studio 1
My first studio was completed during fall of my sophomore year at UGA. The course focused on residential design and was taught exclusively through hand drafting. I learned to consider the direction of light, the importance of private and public spaces, horizontal and vertical circulation, zoning, spacial planning, and accessibility. We learned how to draw floor plans, sections, elevations, and one-point perspectives, all to scale. Most importantly, Studio 1 taught me how to think critically about why spaces are designed the way they are, and how to apply that reasoning intentionally in my own designs.
